JOB SUMMARY

The Director is responsible for supporting fundraising systems and member engagement strategies through the management of the constituent database of record (ROI Solutions) and in collaboration with supporting systems. The role is a key position in maintaining the highest level of data integrity to ensure targeted pipeline development and reporting accuracy. The Director is responsible for data hygiene practices, record keeping for key constituent groups, and quality control based on database management best practices. The Director oversees queries, pulls lists for mailings & external reporting, and builds internal reports that are key to decision-making. The Director provides support to the Senior Director of Development Services regarding departmental and campaign accounting reports. The Director also trains Development staff in using the database based on specified job roles.

DUTIES

  • Maintain the overall quality and integrity of ROI Solutions, NTHP’s constituent database on record, including working with staff to troubleshoot problems with the database and staying current with updates to the system.
  • Maintain highly accurate and current donor data that effectively tracks key information.
  • Works with the Senior Director of Development Services to establish and maintain best practices and procedures, including but not limited to quarterly NCOA and annual data appends.
  • Support the Senior Director of Development Services with gift reconciliation with the Finance Department.
  • Respond to requests from Development staff for list pulls, including mailing lists, donor listings, and reports.
  • Build and maintain ROI Solutions query tool, including establishing a report cadence based on identified business needs.
  • Establish and codify database best practices.
  • Work effectively as a member of multiple project teams.
  • Follow a strict code of confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working in Development with databases or equivalent experience. Relevance of experience and size and type of organization worked for may be taken into account when considering background/qualifications.
  • Experience with data import/export, queries, and designing/generating reports from a relationship database.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications and SQL required. Knowledge of Tableau preferred.
  • Experience with ROI Solutions highly desired. Knowledge of fundraising practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including issue identification and prioritization.
  • Advanced project and client-management skills. Ability to achieve results with limited supervision.
  • Experience supervising professional staff, as well as successfully managing key internal and external stakeholders and relationships.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments to implement processes and achieve results. Track record of building and maintaining productive relationships with multiple stakeholders. When working in the office, public contact and ability to work successfully in close proximity to others required. When working off site, ability work effectively in a remote environment, maintaining productivity and communications to meet deadlines and goals, is required.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task efficiently and respond to a high volume of ongoing requests in a timely fashion. Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work effectively with frequent interruptions required. Able to handle frequently changing and/or unscheduled tasks with accuracy. Entrepreneurial spirit and skill set a plus.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.
PAY & BENEFITS
This is a full-time, exempt level position, eligible for full benefits, including health, dental and life insurance, retirement benefits, and 3+ weeks of vacation, plus sick time and holidays.
Hiring Range: $93,000 - 100,000 per year
